SMEs collaboration helps develop non-invasive glucose monitoring system

The ESP KTN introduced Kanichi Research Services Ltd to Loughborough based Nemaura Pharma Ltd in relation to a TSB funded project to develop a non-invasive transdermal glucose monitoring system. Nemaura is a speciality pharmaceutical drug delivery company but did not have the capabilities to produce sensors.

According to Dr Faz Chowdhury, CEO Nemaura, the introduction of Kanichi Research, which specialises in developing custom-made electrodes and other bespoke electrochemical components for advanced sensor systems, was very timely. Without it Nemaura would not have been able to undertake this work and make the significant process it has achieved in developing a long acting glucose sensor based on conventional technologies.
